Most visitors need three things to enter Honduras: a valid passport, a completed online customs declaration, and for some nationalities, a visa. Travelers from the USA, Canada and the European Union do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days.
All travelers must complete the Government of Honduras customs declaration form online before entering or leaving the country. When you finish, you receive a QR code that customs officers scan, so keep it on your phone or print it. Complete it before your trip, using the official Honduras customs declaration form.
The official name is the Regional Traveler’s Declaration. It has 23 numbered questions, and it is easier than it looks.
Switch it to English first. The form opens in Spanish. Use the Language dropdown in the middle of the top header of the form and change it from es_HN to en_US. Many travelers miss this and think the form only comes in Spanish.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you arrive. UK government advice also asks for at least 2 blank pages. Make sure your passport is stamped when you arrive.
Cruise passengers can enter under a “short pass” that lets them go ashore while the ship is docked, usually less than a day. If you stay in Honduras beyond the hours the ship is docked, a visa is required. Check with your cruise line if you are unsure.
UK government advice says travelers aged 20 and under who travel alone or with one parent need a notarized letter in Spanish from the parents or guardians who are not traveling with them.

A yellow fever vaccine may be needed for residents of South America, and for travelers who have been to places with yellow fever risk, such as Panama, South America and Africa. Check the CDC yellow fever page and ask your doctor about your situation.
