Holy Saturday is the last day of the Holy Week (Semana Santa) holiday in Honduras, the day before Easter Sunday. Its date moves with Easter, and it is a paid national holiday under Article 339 of the Labor Code.
In 2026 bank branches were closed from Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday, according to the banking association AHIBA, while ATMs and online banking kept working. Plan cash and bank errands for the start of the week, since branches closed at midday on Wednesday.
