Clinica Esperanza

Clinica Esperanza Roatan is a non-profit medical clinic dedicated to providing low-cost or no-cost, high-quality healthcare to the underserved population of Roatan, Honduras. Established in 2001, the clinic has become a vital healthcare provider for the island, offering a wide range of services including general medical care, women’s health, pediatrics, a birthing center, dental care, laboratory services, and a pharmacy. The clinic is known for its compassionate approach and commitment to treating all patients regardless of their ability to pay, serving as the primary medical care provider for thousands of residents each year.

With a focus on community health, Clinica Esperanza also conducts outreach clinics, health education programs, and school screenings for vision and oral health. The clinic operates five days a week and typically sees 100-150 patients daily, with both adults and children receiving care for acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and preventive health needs. It is nationally recognized for its outstanding diabetic counseling program and has facilitated transfers for complex cases requiring specialized treatment unavailable locally.

Clinica Esperanza is accessible and inclusive, featuring wheelchair-accessible facilities and accepting both credit and debit cards. The clinic’s mission is supported by a dedicated team of local and international medical professionals and volunteers, making it a cornerstone of hope and health for the Roatan community.
